Packet Pick Up and Pasta Party
Race packets may be picked up early, the evening before the race (Saturday,
August 16th) at the race site between 5:00pm and 7:00pm. At that time, we will be hosting our Washington Crossing 15k.
We encourage out of town runners and their families to join us for this event as an opportunity to explore the area and become
familiar with the terrain. An informal pasta dinner will be available to the Chasing the Unicorn runners at time.

race is sanctioned by USATF and the course certified, which means it will be Boston Qualifier eligible.
is limited free parking at Washington Crossing Historic Park, please consider carpooling and arrive early.
In order to reduce crowding on the Delaware Canal State Park towpath, the Bucks County Marathon will employ
a wave start. Small groups based on seed times will be released over a ten minute period. Please be honest with your seed
times. Incorrect times make travel on along the Canal towpath more difficult.
course is a double out-and back along the historic Delaware Canal State Park towpath trail from Washington Crossing Historic
Park north to the southern edge of New Hope, Pennsylvania, turning around near Che Odette's, returning to the starting
line in Washington Crossing Historic Park, and returning to Che Odette's and finishing at the same starting line. The first
and last half miles and a half mile of each lopp are on paved surface. The ermainded of the loop is packed crushed argulite
(think cinder high school track surface) There will be signs at each mile mark of the first loop and ".1 marks"
on the second loop.
Built in 1832, the tow path is narrow in some sections, requiring single file travel. The towpath
has several camelback bridge underpasses with low clearance. Taller people may feel the need to duck under a few of them.
The race will be timed using ChronoTrack "B" (bib) chips.

awards will be given to top three men and women and top three in age groups by gender. Age groups are subject to change dependent
We will conduct a ceremony for the top three men and women finishers after a cool down period for
those finishers. We will post age group results approximately 15 minutes after categories close out. You should collect your
award after age group awards are posted; we will not be mailing awards.
commemorative event shirt will be given to all pre-registered runners and to late registrants while supplies last. Finisher's
medals will be given to those that earn them. Sneak peeks of the event shirt and medal will be released closer to the race
Post race food will be provided by Gabriel II's Pizzeria. Please be advised that food is for runners only- we
may not be able to accommodate specific dietary needs.
Family and friends
have the ability to drive to several locations along the course to spectate and cheer. There are areas of the course we will
ask them to not travel to, as the locations have limited space. Spectator details will be provided closer to the race date.
Case of Emergency:
We encourage you to carry your cell phone. We will publish a medical emergency phone
number prior to the race.
Portions of the proceeds will benefit groups
along the race course including Friends of the Delaware Canal State Park, Friends of Washington Crossing Park and area High
School Cross Country teams that support our aid stations.
