NEW YEAR’S EVE MIDNGHT RUN 5K RUNNER’S GUIDE
ADVANCE PACKET PICK-UP: We invite you to pick up
your race materials in advance on Tuesday, December 30th from Noon until to 7:00pm at the Philadelphia Runner store,
1601 Sansom St, Philadelphia, PA 19103. We will be accepting walk-up
advance registration at this time. Please be advised that if you pick up your race materials early, it
is your responsibility to bring them on race day, we are unable to re-issue bib numbers and timing chips on-site.
RACE DAY: Packet pick-up and day-of-race registration will open at 9:00pm at McFadden’s
Ballpark. The celebration, including food, drinks and music will begin at that time. A course map can be found at: http://www.runbucks.com/nye5k.html
PARKING: Please see the course
map for free parking locations at Pattison and Citizens Bank Way.
PROPER I.D. You will be issued a wristband
according to your legal status. Under Age participants are allowed but there is no discount for non-drinkers.
Please consider taking care
of your bartenders and servers. They are working so that you may enjoy the holiday. The food service with
be withdrawn at about the time you exit to run the race.
BAGGAGE CHECK: An
informal baggage check will be available- bring your belongings in a bag clearly marked with your race number on it to the
starting line; please collect it immediately after you finish.
TIMING: We will
be using ChronoTrack “B” chips, (the chip is on the bib). Please wear the bib on your front on the outside layer
of clothing, do not fold your bib, do not pin through the thick strip which is the chip.
AND RESULTS: A brief awards ceremony will be conducted inside McFadden’s at the Ballpark at 1:00am. Awards
will be presented to the top three men and women, the top three men and women masters (ages 40+). Cash awards, courtesy of
Philadelphia Runner, will go to the fastest man and woman wearing eveningwear.

If you have any medical information which
may be important to your care in the event of an emergency, please write that information on the back of your race bib.
We encourage all runners to run with their cell phones- our emergency
communication number is: 215-802-2622. We ask that in an event of an emergency, please report it
to that number with as many details as possible including location, nature of the emergency, bib number, and clothing of person(s)
always, safety is our number one concern. As the party begins at 9:00pm, if you wish to celebrate early,
there’s nothing wrong with foregoing the run and continuing to enjoy the party. Please be sure to run and party responsibly.

GETTING HOME: The
last SEPTA subway train leaves AT&T Station at 1:07am. If you’re not driving please find alternate transportation
home. If you need help getting home just ask for it.
