The charity partner for the Dead Harriers 5k
is the Sally Meyerhoff Foundation. Sally loved running, and loved
racing. She had recently won the Rock N' Roll Arizona Marathon and was on her way to the Olympic Trials Marathon. With such
a strong run and fitness level, she was also ready to take the triathlon world by storm by leveraging her marathon. All of
these dreams were ended on March 8th, 2011 when Sally was struck by a vehicle while riding her bike. In
her death this foundation has been created as a way not just to honor her, but to also give back to the community and athletes
which may be in need.
